1956 - 2021

Brian was born in 1956. He grew up in El Paso and graduated from Irving High School.

In 1978 he graduated from Northern Arizona University as Outstanding Senior in Economics.

In 1979 he earned a Masters in International Management from Thunderbird School of Global Management. Brian and Wendy married in 1979. They had their daughter Monica in 1990.

He always wanted to be an astronaut, but he couldn’t fulfill that dream due to health problems. Brian loved sci-fi shows, books, and films. Wendy and Monica are so excited that he will finally be going to space!

Although he wasn’t able to travel to space, he did get to travel around the world. Brian and his family lived in Belgium for three years where they traveled to places such as: Kenya, Italy, Egypt, Greece, and much of Europe. He also enjoyed gardening and watching sports.

He and his daughter loved the movie The Lion King, below is a quote that is significant to them:

Mufasa: Simba, let me tell you something my father told me. Look at the stars. The great kings of the past look down on us from those stars.

Young Simba: Really?

Mufasa: Yes. So whenever you feel alone, just remember that those kings will always be there to guide you. And so will I.
