Dave's soul was called home to join the angels in October 2007 at the age of 46. His strength, courage and positive attitude throughout a six-year struggle with brain cancer were an inspiration to all who knew him. He is survived by his loving family; wife of fifteen years, Cheryl (Ayres); daughter, Carina (age three); parents, Robert and Marjorie; sister, Kimberly; and niece Alyssa (Schmenk).
A passion for the environment led him to a career in environmental protection. He started in the field of government regulation. And then he moved to a more hands on, on the ground career as a consultant with an environmental consulting firm.
His lifelong love of space led us to the decision to launch his ashes into space. May this be a tribute to his life and encourage others to look to the stars.
He was dearly loved and will be deeply missed by his many friends and family. A special thank you to Jonathan, Brandy, Donna, and Sara for all of their assistance in honoring Dave's wishes to live his final days at home.
