Jacqueline Tucker Barclay

"We love you to the stars and back!"
1977 - 2023

Jacqueline Stacie Tucker was born August 7th, 1977, to Martin and Janet Tucker in Phoenix, AZ. Jacque attended Horizon High School, graduating in 1995. She loved space and astronomy as a child, she even went to Space Camp. This passion led her to initially study astrophysics at New Mexico Tech. Here in 1996, she met the love of her life, Mitchel Barclay, declaring to friends that night she had just met the man she was going to marry.

Jacque and Mitch were married on February 7th, 1998, and their beloved daughter Julia was born in April 2001.

Jacque earned a BS in Accounting from Western International University in 2002. She achieved her Master's in Public Administration from Arizona State University in 2005, while working as an accountant for the State of Arizona's General Accounting Office.

In 2006, they moved to Dripping Springs, Texas, and Jacque worked as a financial analyst for the Supreme Court of Texas in Austin. Later, she started her own business, providing accounting and book-keeping services to small businesses in the Dripping Springs area.

While raising her daughter Julia and working, she also made time to help with the PTA and lead her daughter's Girl Scout troop. Jacque loved giving back. She was deeply involved in her community, supporting many fundraising programs. She made many friends in Dripping Springs and loved attending the annual Founder's Day festival, where she served as a judge for the barbecue cook-off. During Julia's senior year of high school, Jacque organized Project Graduation, a lock-in that enabled seniors to safely hang out after graduation and helped prevent intoxication or potential accidents.

Jacque enjoyed reading, astronomy and star gazing, traveling, the ocean, rock concerts, watching football (especially the Houston Texans and the Texas A&M Aggies), talking and laughing with her many friends, cuddling her dogs, and staying up to date on the news. Most of all, she loved being with Mitch and Julia, her family.

Jacque was a loving, loyal and fiercely protective wife, mother, sister, daughter, and friend who was loved and will be greatly missed by many. She had a lifelong dream of going to space, and she is finally getting to complete that goal.
