Jeffrey John Jenkins, 65, a life long resident of Audubon, NJ, passed away suddenly on November 5, 2024. Born on August 21, 1959, Jeff lived a life marked by intelligence, kindness, and a commitment to bringing joy to others.
Jeff graduated from Audubon High School before advancing his education at Drexel University. He spent the last 10 years as a Mechanical Engineer at Bright Lights Defense Manufacturing, where his brilliance as an engineer was only matched by his dedication to his colleagues and the community. Notably, he was involved in the ALS walk and the Philadelphia Eagles Autism fundraising event at his workplace, a testament to his perpetual desire to support others. Jeff was usually the smartest guy in the room. But he would never make you feel like that. Jeff was goofy, kind, helpful, and the least judgmental person you’d ever meet.
Aside from his professional endeavors, Jeff was a vibrant soul with diverse interests. He was a DJ during his college years and had a lifelong passion for skateboarding, motorcycles, airplanes, and space exploration. He had a deep love for dogs, and his bond with each of them was special, especially with Moon, his most recent dog, who he cherished until his passing.
Jeff often said that his goal each day was to make every person he interacted with smile. He had a unique ability to make everyone feel loved, especially his family. Jeff had a way of making every single person he met or interacted with feel special. Jeff was enthusiastic about anything you were excited about.
He is survived by his wife, Sally Jenkins; stepdaughter, Brianna Sandone; brother, Robert Jenkins Jr. and his wife Diane; as well as nieces, great-nieces, and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Norma and Robert Jenkins Sr.
Jeff's life was a beacon of joy and support, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
