Jonathan Harold Stewart

"We love you, you're with the stars and us always."
1988 - 2021

Jonathan Stewart, 33, passed away on May 20, 2021. Jonathan was born May 11, 1988 in Frederick, MD and spent most of his younger life in Wilmington, NC and Lawrenceville, GA. From there he traveled and lived in cities all over the US. Some of his favorites were Asheville, NC, Riverside, CA, Seattle, WA, and Denver, CO; which he loved for their natural beauty.

One of his greatest joys was going for a long drive, while listening to his favorite music, books, movies, or talking on the phone with his best friend since birth, his dad. Jono was an avid comic book and sci-fi nerd. He loved gaming, especially with other people, whether it was putting a raid together in League, being the Dungeon Master in a round of D&D, or playing a game of chess. He was a lifelong voracious reader, from Harry Potter to The Count of Monte Cristo, who passionately loved libraries and all they offered the community. He had a goofy sense of humor; he loved to laugh and make others laugh. Jonathan was a wanderer and always marveled at the stars. It’s only fitting that we’re putting him on a rocket and sending his ashes to outer space, for his last big adventure.

"In sorrow we must go, but not in despair. Behold! We are not bound forever to the circles of the world, and beyond them is more than memory."

- Aragorn’s last words, J.R.R. Tolkien
