Matthew Shannon Vanghel, 58, of New Braunfels, joined the angels in 2022. Matthew was born in Houston, TX, to Nicholas and Darleen Vanghel.
Matthew was welcomed into Heaven by his grandparents, parents, brother Nicky, sister Polly, and wife Julie. He is survived by his older brothers and sister, Darnelle, Mitchell Steve, Mallory Scott, and his nieces and nephews.
"Shannon" was a beloved brother, friend, adventurer, and wilderness explorer. He loved spending time in the great outdoors, and with family. Always loving life, and putting others before himself, Shannon was the light of all our lives.
His love and enthusiasm for Space began as a young boy during the Apollo missions. He will now soar among the stars and when we look up at the sky, we will think of him.
