Growing up, Richard made money either delivering ice in the winter or salt in the summer so his neighborhood could keep their food fresh.

He married Lenore Ilene Yoder, and they had four children.

He had a cornucopia of awards and accolades over the years and displayed them proudly in his home office(s).

He served in the United States Military and was designated Lieutenant Colonel under special order.

Dr. S. Richard Snodey spent most of his civilian life working on special assignments and top-secret contracts for the United States government.

Richard loved dancing to pop music of any era and had a particular love for the violin, in which he played second violin for many orchestras.

Towards the end of his life, he cherished his Barber Shop Quartet and went for walks with his lifelong partner and wife, Dolly Joe Read.

Our father was widely loved, and on his 80th birthday, he had over 300 people visit him at a local venue.

He was very happy that day and acted like he was a teenager.

He was and still is adored.
